Meet the Author
Dr. Kumud Singhal earned her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and worked for nearly twenty years at Bell Labs as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. For the past three decades, she has been a dedicated student of Vedanta and has taught Hindu religion and culture to children, and Sanskrit to adults. Her teaching blends structure with insight, making timeless wisdom accessible and meaningful to modern learners.

Learn Hindi Books
आओ हिन्दी सीखें – Come, Let Us Learn Hindi, a five-book series by Dr. Kumud Singhal, introduces Hindi in a way that is friendly and approachable for beginners of all ages.
Every word and sentence is shown in the Hindi script (Devanagari) and also in transliteration — Hindi sounds written with English letters and helpful marks. This makes it easy to start speaking and pronouncing Hindi correctly right away, even before fully learning the script.
The lessons unfold through engaging characters — Rani, Raja, and their playful companion छोटा हाथी (Little Elephant). Together with colorful illustrations, rhymes, and stories, they make Hindi learning lively and fun.
Along the way, the books gently introduce basic grammar concepts (like nouns, verbs, and tenses) explained in simple English, so learners can start forming meaningful sentences with ease.
